Roberts Freestone Carver
Though he was a policeman, a horseman and a rifleman, none of those are what come to mind when I think of my grandfather. Instead it is his roll as foreman. Each week he would oversee my lawn mowing duties, making sure I let fall the grass that needed to fall and bagged the grass that needed to be bagged. When I was done he would bring me a bottle coke and we'd sit in the shade of the back yard tree and he would tell me I was a hard worker.
My grandfather passed away peacefully in the familiar surroundings of his Ogden Utah home in the company of loving family members on May 6, 2008.
